Job Summary:
The Sound Helper is responsible for assisting the Sound Engineer or Audio Technician in setting up, operating, and maintaining sound systems for events, recordings, school functions, NGO programs, and corporate activities. The role involves providing technical support to ensure smooth audio operations before, during, and after events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up microphones, speakers, amplifiers, mixers, and audio cables.
- Help conduct sound checks before events.
- Identify and report technical faults to the Sound Engineer.
- Adjust microphones and replace faulty cables during events.
- Load, unload, and transport sound equipment safely.
- Clean, pack, and store equipment properly after use.
- Follow electrical and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum Matric or Intermediate qualification.
- Technical course in sound systems (preferred but not mandatory).
- 0–2 years of experience in events, schools, NGOs, or production houses.
