The candidate is required to support the sales team by understanding client needs, designing technical audiovisual (AV) solutions, and creating proposals, demos, and technical documents to facilitate the sales of AV systems. The candidate is expected to conduct site surveys, collaborate with account managers, provide technical expertise, and offer solutions that meet customer requirements to ensure successful product adoption.
Key Responsibilities
· Client Engagement & Needs Analysis:
Meet with clients and sales teams to understand their requirements and challenges for AV and collaboration systems.
· System Design:
Design and engineer AV systems, create system diagrams, and specify the necessary hardware and software.
· Technical Proposals & Demos:
Prepare technical proposals, design documents, and create or deliver product demonstrations to showcase the proposed solutions.
· Site Surveys:
Conduct site surveys to gather necessary technical details and assess the project environment.
· Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with account executives, project managers, sales teams, and internal technical teams to ensure solutions are well-aligned with client needs.
· Technical Documentation:
Develop design-phase drawings, installation drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
· RFP/RFx Response:
Review requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and requests for quotations (RFQs) to provide appropriate responses.
· Solution Validation:
Ensure the proposed solutions are technically feasible, cost-effective, and meet the customer's technical and business objectives.
· Project Handoff:
Provide support during the transition from the sales phase to the project implementation phase, ensuring technical details are conveyed correctly.
