Job Title: Audiologist & Speech Therapist
Roles and Responsibilities:1. Audiologist Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing assessments using audiometers and other diagnostic tools.
- Identify, diagnose, and manage hearing disorders in patients of all ages.
- Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices.
- Provide rehabilitation and counseling to patients and their families on hearing loss and hearing aid use.
- Maintain detailed audiological records and reports for patient files.
- Collaborate with ENT specialists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals for treatment planning.
- Conduct newborn hearing screenings and advise parents on early interventions.
- Educate patients about hearing protection and preventive care.
2. Speech Therapist (Speech-Language Pathologist) Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for patients.
- Work with children and adults having speech delays, stammering, articulation problems, or aphasia.
- Help patients improve communication skills after stroke, brain injury, or developmental delay.
- Train patients in voice modulation, pronunciation, and fluency techniques.
- Conduct swallowing evaluations and recommend diet modifications or therapy for dysphagia cases.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records.
- Educate families and caregivers on how to support therapy goals at home.
- Collaborate with doctors, psychologists, and occupational therapists for multidisciplinary care.
