Audiology Assistant

Busy ENT/Audiology Practice passionate about the patients and the community we serve, is seeking a full time Audiology Assistant to join our fast paced team.

An Audiology Assistant is a person who, (after appropriate training and demonstration of competency) performs delegated tasks that are prescribed, directed, and supervised by a licensed Audiologist. The Audiology Assistant will serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and internal/external customers. Our ideal candidate will be a dependable team player with a positive attitude and passion for learning. Must be able to deal with multiple interruptions and able to prioritize duties within strict deadlines. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills that allow for effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population. Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel is required.

Duties:

  • Returning patient phone calls.
  • Scheduling.
  • Verification of patient benefits.
  • Collect payments on accounts/co-payments, deductibles.
  • Package and mail earmold orders, device repairs, and factory returns.
  • Perform inventories of equipment and supplies.
  • Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs to hearing aids.
  • Instruct patients on proper use and care of hearing aids, as well as proper ear hygiene.
  • Communicate patient arrival to clinical staff promptly; monitor patient waiting time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
