Audiology Medical Biller

Job description

Seeking experienced AUDIOLOGY medical biller.

Duties include but are not limited to:
-Knowledge and experience in audiology billing
-Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10
-knowledge of medical terminology
-Review and prepare claims for electronic billing submission
-management of accounts receivable
-Insurance & Patient Collections
-Insurance verification
-data entry
-follow-up on unpaid claims, denial management, filing appeals and posting charges
- Respond to patient calls and answer billing questions as needed
-Collect outstanding patient balances and set up payment plans for patients
-Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required
-Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments
-Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems.

Skills:
-- 3+ years Experience
-- Strong attention to detail
--Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask
-- prior experience of EMR,billing, and insurance platforms (CounselEar, Claim.MD, Office Ally, Availity)

--experience with audiology billing and coding

-- competency using computer systems, software, and 10 key calculators

Education:

  • Master's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • ICD-10: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Medical billing: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Medical Billing Certification (Preferred)
