Audit Officer

Job Title: Audit Officer

Department: Internal Audit / Finance
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Head Office

Job Purpose:

To independently review and evaluate the organization's financial, operational, and compliance processes, ensuring risk mitigation, control effectiveness, and adherence to standard procedures and statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Internal Audit Execution

• Plan and conduct internal audit assignments across departments (finance, procurement, production, inventory, sales, etc.).
• Review internal controls, business processes, and risk areas in line with audit plans.

2. Financial and Operational Audits

• Examine accounting records, financial statements, and vouchers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assess cost controls, wastage, and production variances, especially in manufacturing operations.
• Monitor cash flow, petty cash, and bank reconciliation processes.

3. Inventory and Stock Audits

• Review physical verification of Raw material inventory and finished goods Stock reports on a periodic basis.
• Review warehouse management system reports and production inputs/outputs.

4. Cost Analysis

• Perform standard cost analysis and Bill of Materials (BOM) costing.
• Manage product costing and analyze manufacturing variances.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations and cost structures.
• Number of process improvements recommended and implemented.
• Accuracy and clarity of audit reports.
• Proficiency in ERP systems

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ICMA / ACCA (part-qualified) preferred.
• Experience: 5–10 years in audit (internal or external), preferably in manufacturing sector.
