The Authorities Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating all technical submissions, approvals, and permits required from various Dubai government authorities (such as Dubai Municipality, RTA, DDA, Dubai Holding , TRAKHEES ,DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.) for real estate development projects. The role ensures that all project designs, construction activities, and planning processes comply with local codes, standards, and regulations.
Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the submission, follow-up, and approval of project documentation with all relevant authorities (e.g., Dubai Municipality, RTA, DDA, Dubai Holding, Trakhees, DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.).

Review design documents to ensure compliance with authority guidelines and local building codes before submission.

Act as a liaison between internal design, planning, and engineering teams and government entities to resolve technical queries and expedite approvals.

Monitor and track the status of all authority submissions and ensure timely renewals or updates of approvals as required.

Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders regarding approval timelines and risks.

Attend meetings and site inspections with regulatory authorities when required.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and authority processes in Dubai and the wider UAE.

Assist in coordinating authority-related documentation for project handover and completion certificates.

Identify and mitigate risks related to authority approvals that may affect project timelines.
Here's what you'll need

The candidate must hold a
Bachelor’s degree
in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.

The candidate must have
5 to 10 years of relevant experience
.

Experience must be from the
real estate or construction sector
.

The candidate must have
experience in authority coordination or design approvals
within the UAE real estate or construction sector.

The candidate must possess
in-depth knowledge of Dubai authority procedures and portals
, including Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, Nakheel, RTA, DEWA, and Civil Defense.

Professional fluency in English
(reading, writing, speaking) is required.

Knowledge of
Arabic, Urdu, or Hindi
would be an advantage.
