Auto Body Technician and Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician AND Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will be essential in delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and collision damage restoration
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including MIG welding), and airless paint sprayers to execute repairs efficiently and precisely
• Fabricate sheet metal components and perform auto glass replacement as needed
• Conduct auto painting and detailing to achieve a flawless finish that meets manufacturer standards
• Apply auto estimating techniques to assess damage and determine repair scope accurately
• Utilize mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance, assembly, and troubleshooting during repairs
• Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols and quality standards

Qualifications

• Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair and restoration
• Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair, including auto painting and auto glass installation
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and auto estimating software
• Experience with auto restoration projects is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate repair processes clearly
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Valid certifications in welding, auto body repair, or related fields are preferred but not required
