Auto electrician

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced automotive electrician with specialized knowledge in luxury vehicles including Range Rover, Mercedes, BMW, Bentley, and other high-end brands. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive diagnostic skills, extensive experience with sophisticated electrical systems, and a commitment to excellence in servicing premium vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose complex electrical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-specific software
• Perform systematic troubleshooting of electrical systems, including engine management, comfort systems, and advanced driver assistance systems
• Conduct comprehensive testing procedures to identify intermittent faults

2. Electrical Repairs & Replacements:

• Service, repair, and replace sophisticated electrical components in high-end vehicles
• Work with complex electronic modules, sensors, and control units
• Install and program new electrical components according to manufacturer specifications

3. Advanced Systems Expertise:

• Service and repair sophisticated infotainment systems
• Diagnose and resolve issues with advanced driver assistance systems
• Troubleshoot and repair complex comfort features specific to luxury vehicles

4. Preventative Maintenance:

• Perform electrical system checks during routine maintenance
• Provide recommendations for preventative electrical maintenance
• Update vehicle software and firmware as required by manufacturers

5. Documentation & Client Communication:

• Maintain detailed service records of all electrical work performed
• Provide clear explanations of complex electrical issues to clients
• Estimate costs and timelines for electrical repairs accurately

6. Advanced Technical Knowledge:

• Stay current with new electrical systems in luxury vehicles
• Follow manufacturer-specific repair procedures for high-end brands
• Program and code electronic control units using proprietary tools

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Certified automotive electrician with at least 5 years of experience
• Specialized training or certification in luxury vehicle brands
• Proven experience working with Range Rover, Mercedes, BMW, Bentley electrical systems
• Familiarity with manufacturer-specific diagnostic software and tools

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex electrical wiring diagrams
• Experience with CAN bus networks and multiplexed electrical systems
• Understanding of ECU programming and coding procedures
• Knowledge of advanced comfort and convenience electrical systems
