Auto Electrician

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Repair Duties

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems in vehicles including wiring, lighting, ignition, batteries, alternators, and starters
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components such as sensors, ECU units, and dashboard instruments
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine checks on vehicle electrical systems
• Test and ensure proper functioning of all electrical components after repairs

Customer & Service Support

• Coordinate with service advisors to explain vehicle issues and repairs needed
• Provide advice to customers regarding electrical system maintenance and care
• Ensure timely completion of assigned repair jobs

Safety & Compliance

• Follow workshop safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment
• Comply with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, replaced parts, and service history
• Prepare reports for completed jobs as required

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or in a similar automotive electrical role
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and service instructions
• Certification in Automotive Electrical Systems is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
