Job Overview

The Auto Finance Officer will be responsible on processing customer requests for internal financing options and securing financing from banks for vehicle purchases. The Auto Finance Officer should have a good background in finance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectivelyin a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Process customer requests for internal financing options, including reviewing credit applications, verifying customer information.
  • Communicate with customers to explain financing options, terms, and conditions, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the process.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide accurate and timely information regarding financing options available to customers.
  • Liaise with banks and financial institutions to secure financing for customers' vehicle purchases.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Negotiate loan terms and interest rates with banks on behalf of customers.
  • Stay updated on current lending rates, loan programs, and industry trends in automotive financing.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to financing activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships with customers throughout the financing process.
  • Follow up with sales executives if a customer isn’t met by Auto Finance Coordinator to obtain necessary details.
  • Ensure comprehensive customer information is provided for all applications (in-house deals, NOC requests, or Hold payments).
  • Coordinate with sales admin to monitor compliance with deal approval terms and conditions.
  • Prepare a weekly report on the number of in-house deals initiated, bank deals, and relevant reports for approved customers.
  • Submit thorough and well-written in-house applications after meeting customers and gathering information.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in finance or accounting roles within the automotive industry. Experience in a dealership setting is highly desirable.
  • Good knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations related to automotive financing.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solving ability alongside having the initiative to produce a better output throughout work tasks & duties.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
