Auto Mechanic

Job title: Workshop Auto Mechanic

Experience: 2-3 years (UAE)

Location: Abudhabi, UAE

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
• Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity Examines vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g., leaks)
• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
• Keep logs on work and issues
• Inspecting parts for defects and performing basic repairs such as changing the oil or replacing spark plugs
• Installing new transmission components such as fluid lines or filters to repair vehicles
• Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems in a car
• Advises service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be made.
• Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly
• Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested
• Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil, and rotating tires
• Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective parts of a car
• Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms.
• In-depth knowledge of engine components and operational mechanisms
• Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
• Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
• Road tests vehicle when required or refers to test technician.
• Documents work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Attends manufacturer-sponsored training classes. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
