Duties

• Assist auto painters with surface preparation, including sanding, masking, and cleaning vehicle surfaces
• Handle and organize hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
• Support in applying primer, paint, and clear coats under supervision, following safety protocols
• Help with buffing, detailing, and finishing touches to achieve high-quality vehicle appearances
• Aid in auto body repair tasks such as minor dent removal and auto glass replacement as needed
• Maintain a clean work area by disposing of waste materials properly and organizing tools for easy access
• Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks related to auto restoration projects and general repairs

Skills

• Previous dealership or auto shop experience is highly preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
• Basic welding skills and mechanical knowledge are a plus for supporting various repair tasks
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and auto painting equipment enhances your effectiveness on the job
• Knowledge of auto body repair techniques, auto painting processes including airless spray systems, and detailing methods
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in physically demanding environments
• Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and support positive interactions
• Basic understanding of auto estimating procedures and vehicle maintenance practices is advantageous
