AutoCAD Draftsman

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting & Design
• Create detailed 2D drawings of false ceiling layouts using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Incorporate lighting, HVAC, fire safety, and acoustic elements into ceiling designs.
• Ensure drawings comply with architectural plans and client specifications.
• Coordination
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and site supervisors to gather design requirements.
• Coordinate with MEP teams to integrate services within ceiling spaces.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and site conditions.
• Documentation
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material specifications.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and approvals.
• Assist in preparing shop drawings and as-built documentation.
• Site Support
• Conduct site visits to verify measurements and ensure design feasibility.
• Provide technical support during installation phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
• Knowledge of false ceiling systems (gypsum, metal, grid, acoustic).
• Understanding of building codes and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in interior fit-out or architectural drafting.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
