AutoCAD Draftsman – Aluminum & Glass

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman with 2–3 years of experience in the aluminum and glass industry within the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and shop drawings based on project specifications, site conditions, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for aluminum and glass systems (curtain walls, doors, windows, cladding, balustrades, skylights, etc.).
• Develop shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings based on architectural and structural inputs.
• Interpret architectural plans and specifications to ensure correct implementation of aluminum and glass systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and production teams to ensure drawing accuracy and feasibility.
• Revise drawings based on comments from consultants, clients, or internal QA/QC.
• Ensure all drawings comply with UAE building codes, project standards, and company guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all drawings and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits, if required, for measurements and verification.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 2–3 years of proven experience in drafting aluminum and glass systems in the UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other drafting software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of aluminum systems such as Schüco, Technal, Gulf Extrusions, or similar.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations and standards for aluminum and glass works.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of material take-offs and basic estimation.
• Experience working in fast-paced projects, such as high-rise buildings, villas, or commercial complexes.
• Valid UAE driving license (optional but preferred).
