AutoCAD Draftsman – Cut & Bend / Fabrication

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for cut & bend reinforcement, steel fabrication, and related works as per project requirements.
• Interpret and analyze structural and architectural drawings to produce accurate bar bending schedules (BBS) and fabrication details.
• Coordinate with the production and site teams to ensure drawings match practical requirements and production capabilities.
• Maintain and update drawing revisions, ensuring proper document control and version tracking.
• Generate shop drawings and fabrication layouts with precise measurements, dimensions, and material specifications.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Support engineers and supervisors by providing technical clarifications and modifications where necessary.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors for drawing approvals and clarifications.
• Contribute to optimizing material usage and minimizing wastage through accurate detailing.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings to meet production and project schedules.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / ITI in Civil / Mechanical / Drafting or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D is a plus).
• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in drafting within the cut & bend, steel fabrication, or rebar industry.
• Good knowledge of bar bending schedules, fabrication detailing, and construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
