Job Title: AutoCAD Draftsman – Piping Fabrication

Department: Engineering / Design
Location: Greater Noida
Reports To: Project Manager / Design Engineer

Experience : 2–5 years of experience in piping fabrication / mechanical construction industry.

Job Purpose:

To prepare accurate piping drawings, fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, and layout plans using Auto CAD (and other relevant software) for mechanical and piping fabrication projects in line with client specifications, codes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare piping general arrangement drawings (GA), isometric drawings, spool drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Develop detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for piping layouts, supports, and assemblies.
• Interpret design inputs, P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and engineering specifications for drafting.
• Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and support material take-off (MTO) for piping fabrication.
• Ensure drawings are compliant with ASME, ASTM, and other relevant piping standards.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site engineers, and fabrication teams for clarifications and modifications.
• Revise and update drawings as per site feedback, design changes, or client requirements.
• Maintain drawing records, revisions, and documentation as per company standards.
• Support fabrication shop by providing clear and accurate drawings for execution.
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of drawings.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of Plant 3D / PDMS / SolidWorks is an added advantage.
• Understanding of piping fabrication, welding, supports, and mechanical equipment layouts.
• Knowledge of P&ID, ASME/ANSI codes, and fabrication standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills with engineers and fabrication team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in piping fabrication / mechanical construction industry.
• Hands-on experience in AutoCAD drafting for piping projects.
• Experience in oil & gas, power plants, or heavy fabrication industries preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
