Job Description: AutoCAD Engineer – WTP/ETP/STP & Biogas

1. Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Engineer with experience in designing Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Biogas Plants. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings, layouts, P&IDs, and 3D models to support project execution and proposals. The role requires strong technical understanding of treatment processes and the ability to convert conceptual designs into precise engineering documents.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Drafting

• Prepare 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for WTP, ETP, STP, and Biogas plant projects.
• Develop P&ID diagrams, GA drawings, equipment layouts, piping layouts, sectional drawings, and structural drawings.
• Create process flow diagrams (PFD), hydraulic flow charts, and isometric drawings.
• Update drawings based on client feedback, engineering inputs, or site requirements.

Technical Support

• Assist process and project engineers in preparing design calculations and BOQs.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and electrical teams to ensure drawing accuracy and integration.
• Support tender and proposal development by providing technical drawings and layout concepts.

Documentation

• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and project documentation.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and internal QC guidelines.

Coordination & Communication

• Attend design review meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Provide on-site support (if required) for drawing clarifications and installation alignment.

3. Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and familiarity with software like SolidWorks, Revit, or Plant 3D(preferred).
• Knowledge of water & wastewater treatment processes including aeration systems, clarifiers, filters, digesters, anaerobic reactors, gas holder systems, etc.
• Understanding of piping standards, civil foundations, mechanical layouts, and utility requirements.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting for WTP, ETP, STP, or Biogas projects.
• Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills and internship experience may also be considered.

5. Preferred Attributes

• Experience working with EPC companies or water/wastewater treatment firms.
• Familiarity with MBBR, SBR, UASB, UGF, RO, UF, and biogas purification systems.
• Knowledge of industry codes (ISI, ASME, ASTM) is an added advantage.

6. Key Deliverables

• Accurate and timely engineering drawings.
• As-built drawings post installation.
• Layouts for proposal submissions.
• Technical coordination support for project execution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
