Overview:
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for modernizing and automating enterprise infrastructure platforms with a strong focus on Bare-Metal Servers and Enterprise Storage systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, problem-solving capability, innovative thinking, and hands-on development expertise in automation and DevOps tooling.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and enhance infrastructure automation using Ansible and Python

Integrate infrastructure platforms with RESTful APIs
-
Automate provisioning and lifecycle operations for HPE ProLiant Bare-Metal Servers and HPE Alletra MP Storage
-
Implement and maintain automation using Terraform for virtualization and datacenter services
-
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
-
Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues
-
Work cross-functionally with Platform, Security, and Ops teams to identify automation opportunities
-
Promote continuous improvement and innovation in automation methodologies
-
Create and maintain technical documentation for automation standards and processes
Requirements:
Required Skills:

Strong experience with Linux-based systems and administration (shell, services, system config)
-
Expert-level hands-on experience with Ansible development (roles, modules, collections, dynamic inventory, Jinja2 templating)

Strong programming skills using Python for automation frameworks
-
Good working knowledge of Terraform (modules, providers, resource lifecycle)

Strong understanding and practical use of RESTful APIs for infrastructure automation

Good knowledge of Enterprise Bare-Metal servers, preferably HPE ProLiant
-
Good knowledge of Enterprise Storage platforms, preferably HPE Alletra MP
-
Experience with one virtualization stack:

VMware vSphere / OpenStack / KVM / Nutanix AHV

Strong analytical thinking, debugging ability, and innovation mindset

Solid understanding of Networking, Security, and Datacenter infrastructures
Desired Skills:

Familiarity with GitOps and version-control workflows

Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Understanding of monitoring/logging tech (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK)

Basic experience with databases and SQL

Exposure to automation of backup, DR, and mission-critical application stacks

Familiarity with around Internal Developer Portal
