Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in control systems, electrical installations, software interfacing, program development and mechanical design, with a focus on optimizing automation processes in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a wide range of industrys , including space, Oil, Gas, and power distribution, to enhance production efficiency and quality. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and improving automated systems aligned with the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions utilizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and distributed control systems.
- Program and troubleshoot testing and production systems
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support system integration and maintenance.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within automated processes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers on design, processes, and integration of systems.
- Support initiatives by optimizing automation workflows to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Perform system diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and upgrades to ensure continuous operation of automated equipment.
- Document system configurations, modifications, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with PLCs, electrical systems (switchgear/ MCCs) , and automation control systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs and working with distributed control systems (DCS).
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to resolve complex automation issues.
- Experience with AutoCAD for designing system layouts; knowledge of Schematics is prefered.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
