About the role
As an Automation Engineer/SDET, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions through robust automation testing practices. You will be a valued member of the QA team and work collaboratively with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver secure and efficient solutions in the healthcare domain.

In this role, you will:
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Validate API integrations and data flows to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Agile testing practices.
  • Utilize test management tools such as Rational Tool Suite, JIRA, RQM, and RTC for planning and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation frameworks and test environments.

Work model - Hybrid

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Hartford, CT. What you need to have to be considered
  • 5–7 years of experience in Automation QA Testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Java, JavaScript, or similar automation tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce or Five9 platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles.
  • Experience testing APIs and data integrations.
  • Familiarity with secure messaging, email routing, and related capabilities.
  • Proficiency in test management tools (Rational Tool Suite, JIRA/RQM/RTC).

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $53,477– $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
