Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and design, with expertise in various CAD software and a thorough understanding of industry standards. This role involves creating detailed designs and schematics for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with ASME codes and standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
  • Create and maintain accurate schematics and assembly drawings for mechanical systems.
  • Conduct system design analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure precision in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design reports and manuals, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Utilize Bluebeam and NavisWorks for project coordination and collaboration within the team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, system design, drafting techniques, and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with technical writing for documentation purposes is preferred.
  • Ability to create 2D animations for design presentations is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
