Automation Test Engineer

The Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for owning the automation pipeline and tool chain for Software Engineering department. The ideal candidate will act as the subject matter expert testing Verifi's SaaS offerings. The role will support our web-based products built on an Angular frontend.

Reporting to the Director, Software Engineering, the Automation Test Engineer is a key part of the engineering organization working across teams to provide 90%+ automated test coverage for our products.

This is a highly visible role playing a key part of our CI/CD pipeline testing nightly builds.

  • Automation Experience: Worked with modern automation platforms like Playwright or Cypress for testing both Angular frontends and an API backend built on Node.js
  • CI/CD and Nightly Builds: Has delivered a CI/CD solution for testing nightly builds of a SaaS product
  • Automation Focused: Designed a robust working test process that delivers on the promise of 90%+ automated test coverage
  • Data and Metrics: Obsessed with providing hard data on test results and product performance
  • Efficiency and Optimization: Ability to analyze frontend and backend performance and work with developers to eliminate bottlenecks
  • Collaboration: Works across disciplines between development, data science, and product teams
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, organized and detail oriented


IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of automated test engineering experience with Playwright or Cypress
  • 5+ years of designing an automated test pipeline for CI/CD testing nightly builds of SaaS products
  • Proven ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority
  • Cross collaborate between disciplines, including development, data science, and product
  • Proficient in TypeScript (Preferred)
  • Experience with Python (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of GitHub Actions (Preferred)
  • Automated tests across mobile apps (Preferred)

Pay Transparency:

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 - $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 15% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $105,800 to $163,300. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
