Duties
- Investigate auto insurance claims by reviewing accident reports, repair estimates, and vehicle damage assessments.
- Conduct thorough analysis of claims to determine coverage eligibility and liability.
- Negotiate settlements with policyholders, repair shops, and other involved parties to reach fair and timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with auto body repair shops, automotive repair technicians, and auto restoration specialists to assess repair needs and costs.
- Utilize auto estimating tools and underwriting guidelines to evaluate damages and establish claim values.
- Oversee the auto service process from initial assessment through final resolution, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Document all claim activities meticulously in claims management systems, including detailed notes on negotiations, inspections, and approvals.
Qualifications
- Must know CCC and Mitchell estimation software.
- Proven experience in negotiation within an insurance or automotive environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto body repair techniques, and automotive repairs.
- Familiarity with underwriting principles related to auto insurance policies.
- Experience with auto estimating software and auto service management tools.
- Knowledge of auto restoration processes and auto body shop operations.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret damage reports, repair estimates, and policy details.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, repair shops, and internal teams to facilitate smooth claim resolutions.
- Prior experience in service writing or automotive service management is a plus.
