Automotive Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
• Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering systems, and electrical systems.
• Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and other routine maintenance tasks.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts with precision.
• Work on diesel engines and powertrain systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Diagnose complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto body repairs when necessary.
• Follow dealership procedures for auto estimating, vehicle inspections, and documentation of repairs performed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and powertrain maintenance.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service software.
• Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with auto body repair is advantageous.
• Solid mechanical knowledge across transmissions, alignment procedures, suspension components, shocks & struts, brake repair, and tire service.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately while working efficiently under pressure.
