Automotive Mechanical Engineer – R&D

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Automotive Mechanical Engineer – R&D to join our Research and Development department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving armored vehicle mechanical systems, ensuring performance, durability, and safety through innovative design and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for armored and special-purpose vehicles.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and performance analysis of mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, design, and production engineers to ensure optimal vehicle integration.
• Prepare 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation using CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent).
• Perform calculations, simulations, and testing to validate mechanical designs.
• Identify areas for improvement in existing vehicle designs to enhance reliability and performance.
• Support the prototyping, assembly, and testing phases of new vehicle models.
• Evaluate new materials, components, and technologies suitable for R&D applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive mechanical design and development, preferably in armored or special-purpose vehicles.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other 3D modeling tools.
• Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, suspension systems, and mechanical integration.
• Hands-on experience with prototype development and testing.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in armoring design, vehicle modification, or defense vehicle projects.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and mechanical standards.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
