Automotive Service Advisor (OWN VISA ONLY)

Position Summary

The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, recommending appropriate maintenance and repairs, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
• Recommend necessary maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle condition
• Prepare and explain service estimates, including costs and timelines
• Obtain customer authorization before work begins
• Communicate clearly with technicians regarding repair orders and updates
• Keep customers informed of repair progress, delays, or additional service needs
• Review completed work with customers and explain invoices upon vehicle pickup
• Promote preventative maintenance and additional services when appropriate
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and empathy
• Maintain accurate service records and customer information
• Follow all company policies, safety standards, and ethical guidelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in automotive service, customer service, or sales preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance services
• Ability to explain technical information in a clear, customer-friendly manner
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and service management software
• Valid driver’s license
