Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to lead our team of automotive technicians and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automotive repair, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to deliver top-notch customer service. As the Shop Foreman, you will oversee daily shop activities, mentor team members, and maintain high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management:
• Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of automotive technicians.
• Assign and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Operational Oversight:
• Monitor daily shop operations to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and technology are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving complex vehicle repair issues.
• Quality Assurance:
• Inspect completed repairs to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Enforce adherence to company standards, procedures, and protocols.
• Address and resolve customer concerns regarding repairs or services.
• Customer Service:
• Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and timelines.
• Communicate technical issues and solutions to customers when needed.
• Build trust and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Inventory & Supplies Management:
• Monitor parts inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Ensure proper use of resources to minimize waste and costs.
• Training & Development:
• Provide ongoing training to technicians to keep them up to date with industry advancements.
• Support team members in achieving certifications and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (ASE certification or vocational training preferred).
• 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician or in a similar role.
• Proven leadership experience in an automotive repair shop environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair software, and shop equipment.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
