Automotive Shop Foreman

Auto Repair Tech Experience is Required

• 
  Coach, train and motivate technicians, ensure engine, transmission, etc. repairs are performed correctly, ensure the service department maintains a high level of customer satisfaction and more.
• Provides technical support to technicians when necessary
• Checks progress of repair orders throughout the day
• Ensures auto repairs are charged out correctly
• Assists technicians in developing their skills
• Ensures employees receive manufacturer training
• Conducts regular performance reviews
• Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
• Road tests vehicles to quality-check work performed.
• Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports
• Monitors shop condition, including cleanliness, safety, and the condition of shop equipment
• Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
• Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.

• 
  Shop Foreman experience and GMC training is preferred. Auto repair tech experience is required
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills
• Good work ethic and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
