Shop & Operations Manager (Automotive & Construction Divisions)

About Us:

We are a growing, fast-paced automotive dealership and repair operation that also manages ongoing construction and property projects. We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Shop & Operations Manager to oversee daily shop, dealership, and construction activities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys solving problems, and can keep multiple departments running smoothly.

Position Overview:

The Shop & Operations Manager plays a vital role in supporting shop workflow, dealership administration, and construction management. This person ensures that each department operates efficiently, maintains accurate records, and keeps projects and service work on schedule.

You’ll work directly with ownership and department heads to coordinate operations, track performance, and ensure high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Shop

  • Oversee technician workflow and daily operations
  • Provide weekly job lists and manage repair priorities
  • Order, track, and reconcile all parts, returns, and cores
  • Build and manage repair tickets and estimates in Tekmetric
  • Verify accuracy in parts, labor, and technician assignments
  • Conduct weekly parts reconciliations with Chris
  • Schedule service appointments efficiently
  • Communicate with customers regularly to provide status updates and ensure satisfaction

Dealership

  • Perform monthly insurance reconciliations and process total loss claims
  • Handle daily insurance notices and customer collection letters
  • Complete customer and inventory title work accurately
  • Maintain organized deal files and document systems
  • Coordinate GPS installations and manage key inventory

Construction

  • Serve as Project Manager for assigned construction and property projects
  • Develop and manage project schedules and timelines
  • Obtain required permits and coordinate with engineers, electricians, and subcontractors
  • Oversee property maintenance and management activities

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive, dealership, or operations management (required)
  • Experience with project or construction management preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with management systems (Tekmetric or similar)
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability
