Automotive Technician – Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Technician to join our team. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure safety, performance, and customer satisfaction always keep company standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, fluid checks, etc.).

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Repair and replace defective parts such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension components.

Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.

Follow manufacturer guidelines and technical manuals for accurate repairs.

Maintain workshop tools and equipment in proper condition.

Document all repair and service work in job cards and service reports.

Ensure all work is completed within the set timeframes while maintaining high quality.

Communicate with Service Advisors/Workshop Supervisors regarding repair progress and additional work required.

Stay updated on new automotive technologies and diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or technical certification in Automotive Technology (preferred: Diploma/ITI/Trade certificate).

Proven work experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role.

Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, electrical, transmission, HVAC, suspension, braking).

Proficiency in using diagnostic scanners and repair tools.

Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical data.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Valid UAE driving license (preferred).

Preferred Experience

Experience working with German cars (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche) and multi-brand vehicles.

Knowledge of computerized diagnostics (Autel, Bosch, ODIS, ISTA, etc.).

Familiarity with bodyshop and electrical repairs (a plus).

Full-time, workshop-based role

Working days: 6 days per week

Competitive salary + overtime + performance bonuses

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
