Automotive Technician

Capitol Auto Care is looking for a qualified, full-time automotive technician. We are a STAR Certified independent repair facility in San Jose, California that takes pride in providing quality service & repair work to our customers. The shop owner is a Master Technician with 25+ years of experience in the automotive repair industry. We are currently seeking a full-time, ASE-certified technician who is friendly, capable and prepared to work on a wide-range of vehicles. Here at Capitol Auto Care, we service most makes and models of vehicles, both foreign and domestic. In addition, applicant should be serious, well-mannered and have a high degree of respect for all vehicles. Candidate is required to own tools necessary for automotive repair. Applicant must be able to utilize resources such as Alldata and iATN effectively. Technician must be able to diagnose customer complaints and problems in a timely manner on their own. This position is for a legitimate automotive repair technician that is looking for a serious job in a prospering automotive repair facility.

Capitol Auto Care is well known in the area for our high level of customer service and effective vehicle repair; candidate will be required to uphold the quality of work that is expected from us as a shop. We will pay top dollar for a technician that can fulfill our needs.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair automotive vehicles
• Perform routine vehicle tune-ups and maintenance
• Provide labor and time estimates for automotive repairs
• Inspect and test new vehicles for necessary adjustments
• Support the Service Writer when needed

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an automotive technician
• Smog and/or Brake and Lamp licenses a plus
• Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
• Knowledge of Alldata Manage and Repair is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Valid CA driver's license
• Fluent in English
• Must provide own tools
• Proficient computer skills

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
