Automotive Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a strong focus on diagnostics, R&R, and engine performance. This role involves performing a wide range of repairs and services on various vehicle makes and models, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Diagnose and repair automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics
• Perform repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, and engines
• Conduct vehicle maintenance including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations
• Execute alignments and wheel balancing to manufacturer specifications
• Repair and service automotive electrical systems, ADAS systems, and other electronic components
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive service tools effectively
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex problems
• Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and safety regulations
• Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle
• Communicate effectively with Service Writers regarding repairs needed and completed work

Skills

• Proven dealership experience or service technician background preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repair
• Experience with Honda, Acura, Toyota, and Japanese makes repair highly desirable
• Proficiency in using schematics, auto estimating software, and diagnostic equipment
• Mechanical knowledge of powertrain systems, transmissions, and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and interpret schematics accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service excellence
• Strong mechanical aptitude combined with attention to detail and safety standards
• Ability to follow instructions, be detail oriented, and work as a team
• Must be at least 21 years old, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must have own tools and cart
• Must be well groomed
• Bilingual is helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
