Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, and alignment adjustments to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems on diverse vehicle makes and models.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards while providing excellent customer service by explaining work performed clearly.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, diagnostics, and parts used to support accurate auto estimating and warranty claims.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or automotive service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Knowledge of ADAS systems, schematics reading, vehicle maintenance procedures, and automotive electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar brands is highly desirable.
- Skilled in working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and vehicle alignment procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
