Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and more.
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
• Repair or replace powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, and drive axles to restore optimal vehicle performance.
• Perform wheel alignments and wheel balancing to ensure proper vehicle handling and tire longevity.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain and document all repairs performed for transparency and quality assurance.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and answering any questions about vehicle condition or recommended services.

Requirements

• Proven dealership or automotive service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with schematics reading and interpreting technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic software.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to fellow employees.
• Experience working on Asian and Domestic vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
• Valid certification in automotive repair (such as ASE certification) is highly regarded; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.

Projected Total Compensation: $50,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
