Automotive Technician - VW Certified

We currently have immediate openings for VW Certified - Service Technicians.

Family VW of Burleson has Service Technician positions currently available. The preferred candidate will have:

• Prior VW, Audi, Porsche, or BMW dealer experience
• State inspection license
• Have 3-5 years of experience in a dealership environment
• Be open to a flexible work schedule including Saturdays

JOB SUMMARY: Troubleshoot issues reported by customers to fix or maintain vehicles. Includes the use of computers for dispatched repair orders and diagnostics.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair vehicles brought in by customers
• Perform PDI according to manufacturer requirements on new inventory
• Perform used vehicle inspections as requested
• Perform maintenance repairs on vehicles
• Road test vehicles for quality control purposes
• Enter notes on customer and in-house repair orders via computer
• Provide excellent customer service while performing the following job duties:
• Maintain technical knowledge at contemporary levels for all vehicles in which the company registers regular service
• Comply with company standards for appearance and housekeeping

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• ASE certification (Master Tech)
• Factory training certifications.
• Computer literate

ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Accountable for safe actions in shop when working on vehicles.
• Generate 100% of labor sales.
• Maintain perfect CSI scores.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

• Work in noisy environment
• Exposed to machinery with moving parts
• Requires the use of protective clothing and equipment
• Works with toxic or flammable substances
• 40 hours a week
