Automotive Technician/Mechanic

Expanding Shop is hiring immediately a highly motivated mechanic / technician to join our team! We are looking to hire a mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles. You will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and working with our Service Manager and team to provide first rate service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and repair to specifications.
• Brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Must have a minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience preferred.
• A.S.E. certification plus.
• Diesel experience a plus
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

7:30 – 4:30 schedule Monday - Friday with OVERTIME AVAILABLE

Skills

• Desire to learn and grow as a mechanic
• Team player in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.

Must have tools to perform necessary repairs

Must have a Valid Driver’s License
