AV Programmer / Engineer – Construction Company

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AV Programmer / Engineer to design, program, configure, commission, and support Audio Visual (AV) systems for commercial, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use construction projects. The role involves integration of AV technologies with ELV systems, troubleshooting onsite issues, and ensuring successful project delivery according to client specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AV system control logic and programming.
• Configure and commission AV systems including:
• Video conferencing systems
• Digital signage
• Background music systems
• Meeting room AV solutions
• Home automation and smart systems
• Program and troubleshoot platforms such as:
• Crestron
• Extron
• AMX
• Q-SYS
• Biamp
• Prepare technical submittals, schematics, cable schedules, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients during project execution.
• Conduct FAT/SAT testing and system commissioning.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software integration issues onsite.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
• Provide end-user training and technical support after project handover.
• Collaborate with ELV, ICT, and MEP teams during installation and integration phases.
• Support estimation and BOQ preparation when required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in:
• Electronics Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Audio Visual Technology
• 3–7 years of experience in AV integration or AV programming within construction or system integration companies.
• Strong knowledge of:
• TCP/IP networking
• AV over IP
• DSP configuration
• HDMI distribution
• Control systems
• Structured cabling
• Experience with AutoCAD and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with international AV standards and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret IFC drawings and schematics.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
