AV Technician

Overview

Role Overview: As an AV Technician at The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless audio-visual experiences for a variety of meetings, conferences, banquets, and events. As part of our team in this prestigious hospitality environment, you'll work in an onsite setting, contributing your expertise in AV technologies to deliver exceptional service for both guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and dismantle AV equipment for meetings, conferences, banquets, and events.
  • Operate sound systems, microphones, mixers, projectors, LED screens, and video conferencing equipment.
  • Ensure proper functioning of lighting, staging, and presentation systems where applicable.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues promptly during events to guarantee seamless operations.
  • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance of AV equipment.
  • Coordinate with Banquet, Sales, and Event teams to meet client and event requirements.
  • Maintain AV inventory, cables, and equipment storage in an organized manner.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards and procedures at all times.
Must have requirements
  • Proven experience in setting up, operating, and dismantling AV equipment for various types of events.
  • Strong ability to operate sound systems, microphones, mixers, projectors, LED screens, and video conferencing technology.
  • Demonstrated competence troubleshooting technical issues during live events.
  • Capability to carry out routine checks and preventive maintenance of AV devices.
  • Proactive coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure event success.
  • Meticulous approach to AV inventory management and equipment care.
  • Adherence to hotel safety policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
