Aviation lawyer

Location:  Dubai, UAE

Work Week:  6 days

Salary Range:  AED 18,000 – 35,000 per month + benefits

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented  Aviation Lawyer  to join our expanding legal team in Dubai. This role offers exposure across the full spectrum of our aviation operations — including  charter, cargo, and scheduled commercial services  — with responsibility for high-value transactions, regulatory advisory, and cross-border commercial contracts. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of law, business, and strategy, working directly with senior management and global stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of  aircraft sale & purchase agreements, operating and finance leases, ACMI/wet leases, and MRO/PBH contracts .
• Advise on  UAE GCAA CARs , international conventions (Montreal 1999, Cape Town), and related aviation regulatory requirements.
• Support  AOC applications, variations, and traffic rights , ensuring alignment with operational and commercial objectives.
• Manage  aviation insurance portfolios , including hull, liability, war risk, and AVN clauses, while liaising with insurers and brokers.
• Provide guidance on  commercial disputes and arbitration , with emphasis on DIFC/ADGM frameworks.
• Implement governance frameworks, compliance monitoring (AML, sanctions, data protection), and in-house training initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Education:  LLB/LLM from a recognised institution; admitted/eligible to practice in a common-law jurisdiction.
• Experience:  2–5 years PQE within aviation, asset finance, or transportation (law firm, airline, lessor, OEM, or MRO).
• Strong expertise in  aviation contract drafting/negotiation  and knowledge of UAE/GCC aviation regulatory frameworks.
• Preferred exposure : AOC processes, aviation finance/security documentation, DIFC/ADGM dispute resolution.
• Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, international environment.
