Position Summary:
The Aviation Supply Specialist supports helicopter maintenance operations by managing the receipt, inspection, and processing of incoming aircraft parts and materials. This role is responsible for accurate inventory control, stock organization, and maintaining traceability in compliance with aviation and company standards. The Aviation Supply Specialist also prepares and coordinates outgoing shipments, including cores, repairs, and parts returns, ensuring proper documentation and timely delivery. Working closely with maintenance, vendors, and logistics partners, this position helps keep aircraft downtime to a minimum by ensuring the right parts are available when needed.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS, SYSTEMS

Required:
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: 1-2 years of supply-based work experience.
  • Skills:
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management – Ability to track, manage, and optimize aviation parts inventory while ensuring accuracy and availability.
  • Regulatory Compliance Knowledge – Familiarity with FAA regulations, airworthiness requirements, and proper documentation for aircraft parts.
  • Attention to Detail – Precision in handling part numbers, serial numbers, certifications, and maintenance records to avoid costly errors.
  • Organizational Skills – Strong ability to maintain structured records, manage multiple priorities, and ensure efficient storage and retrieval of parts and documentation.
  • Vendor & Logistics Coordination – Experience coordinating with suppliers, managing procurement, and ensuring timely delivery of critical components.
  • Licenses/Certifications: No licenses or certifications are required. Training will be provided.
  • Systems: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc)


TRAINING/SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES REQUIRED

  • Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.
  • Read all newsletters and bulletins to remain current on policies, procedures, and developments as well as to meet all company compliance standards.


RESPONSBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming aircraft parts, materials, and tooling in accordance with company and aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the company’s tracking system, ensuring full traceability and proper documentation for all parts.
  • Store and organize inventory using proper handling procedures to prevent damage, loss, or shelf-life expiration.
  • Prepare, package, and ship outgoing materials including parts, cores, repairs, and warranty returns with correct paperwork and certifications.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel to issue parts and ensure timely support for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
  • Monitor stock levels and support reordering activities to prevent aircraft-on-ground (AOG) delays.
  • Work with vendors, and logistics providers to track shipments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain efficient supply chain operations.


MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS

  • Inventory Accuracy:
    Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy (ex. 98–100%) through proper receiving, binning, and transaction control.
  • Shipping & Documentation Compliance: Ensure outgoing shipments are processed accurately and on schedule with complete and correct documentation, resulting in minimal returns or discrepancies.

Work Modality:

Possible Work Hazards:
Exposure to loud noises, aviation related chemicals, and frequently moving objects at a high velocity.

Physical Demands:
Able to lift up to 50 pounds, sitting for a long period of time, and squatting/bending to stock locations.
