SCOPE
We are seeking an accomplished Consulting Head to lead and scale consulting engagements across the RBI / Central Banking, Citizen, and Financial Ecosystem domains. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of India’s financial architecture, including RBI operations, regulatory technology (RegTech), Fintech, open banking, and citizen-centric platforms.
This role will drive strategic consulting initiatives, define next-generation policy-technology interfaces, and guide digital transformation efforts across central banking and financial ecosystem participants.
The position requires direct collaboration with RBI, subsidiary bodies, regulated entities, and financial service providers to establish standards, frameworks, and innovation pathways for India’s evolving financial and citizen-service landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Leadership
- Provide vision and strategic direction across RBI-linked consulting functions—open banking, data exchange, financial inclusion, AI/ML standards, cybersecurity, and payment modernization.
- Define and lead transformation blueprints for “RBI / Citizen Charter”, integrating regulatory, operational, and digital priorities.
- Represent the organization in industry forums and policy working groups on central banking technologies and citizen service platforms.
2. Regulatory and Policy Alignment
- Collaborate with RBI departments, regulated entities, and other entities to co-create standards for financial data exchange, API governance, and digital trust frameworks.
- Support compliance and innovation through advisory on supervisory technology (SupTech), RegTech, data governance, and AI in financial supervision.
3. Ecosystem Development
- Build strong engagement models with key stakeholders—banks, fintechs, cooperative institutions, technology providers, and citizen-service agencies.
- Lead efforts to operationalize interoperability across the Central Banking–Citizen–Fintech continuum, enabling seamless data and service exchange.
4. Technology Consulting and Architecture
- Define enterprise-level solution architectures aligned to RBI’s digital and AI roadmaps.
- Oversee evaluation of new technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, privacy-enhancing tech, APIs, cloud, and microservices) for adoption in central banking and citizen ecosystems.
- Guide design of reusable digital components, standards, and reference architectures for regulatory and public service platforms.
5. Knowledge, Research & Market Insights
- Conduct research on global central bank digital ecosystems, social listening in regulatory contexts, and innovations such as CBDC, Open Finance, and Data Empowerment frameworks.
- Produce whitepapers, policy notes, and consulting playbooks shaping India’s digital financial transformation narrative.
6. Governance, Delivery & Operations
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of consultants, policy experts, and architects in delivering multi-stakeholder transformation programs.
- Define delivery frameworks, success metrics, and governance models ensuring alignment with regulator expectations and citizen outcomes.
- Drive institutional capacity-building, skill development, and knowledge management.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Background:
- Postgraduate degree in Management, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred).
Experience:
- ~18 to 20 years in financial services, central banking, policy consulting, or digital transformation.
- Demonstrated leadership in engagements with RBI, Government of India, or other regulatory bodies.
- Proven experience in fintech, open banking, RegTech/SupTech, or digital public infrastructure projects.
Core Skills:
- Strong understanding of India’s financial ecosystem—regulatory frameworks, payment systems, banking operations, and emerging fintech innovations.
- Expertise in technology strategy, data interoperability, enterprise architecture, and policy–technology alignment.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive-level advisory skills.
- Analytical and research orientation; ability to translate policy directions into implementable technology frameworks.
- Visionary leadership with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary consulting teams.
Employment Type: All positions are on fixed term contract on a full-time basis
exclusively for ReBIT, initially for a period of five years,
extendable by mutual consent.
