Position Summary

The AVP - CLO and Bank Loan Operations Analyst supports the analysis, operations, and reporting for TCW CLOs and life-cycle events for Bank Loans. This role is responsible for processing and monitoring the timely settlement of trades, cash and position reconciliation of TCW CLO and Bank Loans funds, and working with trustees, agents, and custodians to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Key deliverables include compliance testing, hypothetical analysis, cash flow projection, transaction comparisons, and resolution of exceptions.

This role also has vendor management responsibilities, primarily overseeing outsourced Cash Reconciliation operations and CLO Compliance Data Reconciliation.

Reporting to the VP of Bank Loans and CLO Operations, this position ensures that CLO and Bank Loans-related exceptions are handled and resolved promptly, transactions are recorded accurately across IBOR/ABOR and serves as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders. This highly visible role requires strong communication skills and a solid understanding of CLO mechanics.

Essential Duties

  • Manage oversight of multiple outsourced vendor services including Cash Reconciliation and CLO Compliance Reconciliation
  • Utilize management reporting to track metrics, escalate items in key-risk items and lead governance meetings within the assigned domains.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the trading desk regarding ticket changes and other relevant updates.
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to requests from Portfolio Managers for hypothetical analysis, various projects and cash flow projection.
  • Lead or support research and automation projects as project manager for senior Operations Managers, and Portfolio Managers.
  • Track issues, provide oversight and constructive feedback as part of vendor management framework and work with senior managers to enhance vendor performance.
  • Interact with rating agencies on questions or rating actions relating to holdings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or similar field.
  • At least 5 years of investment industry experience in a related role, including CLOs.
  • Strong understanding of fixed income securities and bank debt.
  • Knowledge of CLO documentation (including indentures) is required.
  • Prior experience performing similar duties.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experienced with WSO Admin/Web, WSO Compliance, and Bloomberg.
Estimated Compensation:
Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $110k-$130k. This represents base salary range only.
Other Compensation:In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus.
