Reporting to the VP, Creative & Content, you will partner on the overarching creative strategy and own how to operationalize it—transforming insights into stories, ideas into experiences, and campaigns into moments that matter. Your work will ensure flawless execution and operational excellence, shaping how millions engage with our brand and products, and trust us with their health and well-being. The AVP, Creative Services and Agency Operations will translate strategic vision into action, driving the execution of innovative creative and content initiatives while overseeing operational workflows and agency/vendor partnerships. This role combines creative leadership with operational rigor, ensuring every asset reflects our brand promise and delivers measurable impact.

Summary
As AVP, Creative Services and Agency Operations at Humana, you will lead the internal creative team, ensuring operational excellence and creative effectiveness. Reporting to the VP, Creative & Content, you will translate enterprise creative strategy into scalable, efficient processes, delivering high-quality creative solutions for all business lines and marketing partners.

Key Responsibilities

Creative & Brand Execution:

  • Partner with the VP to implement enterprise creative strategy across all marketing channels.
  • Ensure creative outputs meet brand standards and campaign goals.
  • Oversee production timelines and quality assurance.

Agency Operations & Vendor Management:

  • Manage daily operations, agency relationships, and offshore resources to deliver creative and content solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance.
  • Implement governance and workflows to drive consistency and speed-to-market.

Operational Excellence:

  • Design and manage processes for budgeting, project intake, prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and optimize production capacity and scalability, including outsourcing strategies.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting for operational performance.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Mentor creative operations teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Develop talent and succession plans to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion across teams and creative work.

Innovation & Performance Optimization:

  • Drive adoption of new technologies to enhance creative production efficiency.
  • Pilot new operational models to improve speed, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and apply industry best practices in creative operations and agency management.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in creative operations, agency management, or related fields, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Expertise in operational workflows, vendor management, and creative production.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with governance and performance measurement in creative operations.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in creative technology and agency models.
  • Active participation in professional communities related to marketing operations or creative services.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$203,400 - $279,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
