What You Will Learn:
The position will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health and strategic growth of the CeraVe DMI. This position aims to solidify CeraVe’s key strategies and objectives of Scientifically Driven Products, Accessibility and Affordability, Digital Prowess, and Market Expansion. This role requires a highly analytical and proactive individual with a strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and analysis within a dynamic international business environment. This individual will work closely with the Global DMI Finance Leads, Marketing teams, Supply Chain, Operations, and the Industrial Development Team to ensure financial accuracy, efficiency, and informed decision-making.
Strategic Planning, Program Management, & Cross Functional Initiatives
- Lead strategic WW Zone analytics encompassing but not limited to Net Sales, Gross Margin, A&P Investments, Profit Margin, and New Product Launches
- Internal Audit point of contact for LDB USA DMI’s
- LDB USA DMI’s process owner for Finance Transformation Projects
- Contribute and lead multiple aspects of departmental and divisional objectives that contribute to the WW Growth of the Brand
- Manage large complex projects and programs that span multiple zones, teams, and departments
- Work closely with other zones and senior leaders to achieve divisional objectives which includes a cross functional partnership with the Luxe DMI
- Guidance and mentorship for WW Managers and Finance direct reports
- Significant input into mid-to-long term business goals and WW initiatives
- Master all aspects of the DMI Finance Functions and be a liaison for cross functional partners
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a high level of decision making
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Provide comprehensive financial support and guidance to DMI Finance Leads and Marketing teams
- Manage the full DMI P&L including planned and actual spend while ensuring adherence to L’Oréal Finance Norms
- Develop and maintain A&P & SG&A budgets and trends within the L’Oreal financial systems
- Oversee monthly closing activities including journal entries, actuals reporting, and variance analysis
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to evaluate spend and support data-driven business decisions
- Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities to the Financial Controller(s)
- Analyze monthly Worldwide Net Sales, Gross Margin, and Profit providing insightful commentary
- Contribute to the monthly consolidation of AFP Finished Goods and Samples Margin Summary & PIG reporting
- Aid in the Budget/Trend build of the AFP Transfer Pricing
- Manage a complex business model that is constantly growing through Local and Export Production
Business Partnering and Collaboration
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations Finance teams to maintain Product Hierarchy accuracy and accurate PVIS reporting
- Perform monthly margin checks across various business models (Internal, Triflow, and Export)
- Act as the Finance Liaison between DMI Marketing and Operations teams for new product launches
- Provide monthly commentary and insights for Brand Gross Margin Analysis, including the Budget/Trend builds
- Collaborate with the Industrial Development Team to ensure spending aligns with budget and trend approvals, including liaison with the French team for their requirements
- Partner with the International Business Development Team to ensure Worldwide Strategies and Objectives are being met
- Process Improvement & Control: Lead ad-hoc projects to enhance financial controls and reporting processes
What We Are Looking For:Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience required
- 10+ years of experience in Finance, including supervisory/management experience.
- Strong computer skills required (Excel a must)
- SAP or TM1/Cognos a plus
- Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills; business acumen; leadership skills; oral and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:- MBA/CPA a plus
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
