AVP & Lead, Credit Management

Job Purpose

To support the preparation, assessment, structuring, and ongoing management of Real Estate and Hospitality credit exposures across the UAE and selected international markets. The role contributes to end‑to‑end credit analysis, including underwriting, approval recommendations, and post‑approval monitoring, in line with the Bank’s risk appetite, sector strategy, and regulatory requirements.


The position works closely with senior Credit colleagues, Relationship Management, Product, Risk, and Legal teams on a range of financing structures, gaining exposure to complex transactions while operating within established credit frameworks.


Key Accountabilities

  • Perform detailed credit analysis and risk assessment for real estate and hospitality financing, including IPRE, Development and Construction finance, and Hospitality assets.
  • Prepare credit applications, financial analysis, and approval recommendations
  • Support structuring of facilities such as term loans, revolving facilities, and guarantees, ensuring alignment with approved risk parameters.
  • Assist in the management of a sector specific credit portfolio, including Annual and interim credit reviews, monitoring of covenant compliance and account conduct, and tracking financial performance and key risk indicators.
  • Work collaboratively with Relationship Managers, Coverage and Product teams to support credit assessments and client discussions.
  • Contribute to responses for audit, regulatory, and internal review queries related to assigned transactions and portfolio accounts
  • Ensure credit work adheres to Group Credit Policies, Sector specific underwriting standards, and Delegated approval frameworks
  • Maintain agreed credit processing timelines (SLAs) while ensuring accuracy and completeness of submissions.
  • Build and maintain understanding of UAE and regional real estate and hospitality market trends and key regulatory and risk developments affecting the sector
  • Participate in internal discussions and training related to sector risk, underwriting standards, and portfolio trends.


Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (mandatory).
  • Professional qualification preferred: CA, CFA, CPA, CAIA

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of banking experience with minimum 3 years in credit analysis or risk roles, preferably within Real Estate and/or Hospitality financing.
  • Ability to work within established credit frameworks while developing independent judgment.
  • Underwriting and credit analysis experience for regional and global real estate markets would be preferred.
