Job Title: AVP - Risk & Support Functions Technologies

Location: Dubai

Reporting To: VP - Head of Enterprise Risk, Compliance, Finance, Credit and Support Functions Technology

Industry: Financial Services


Job Purpose:

Lead the strategic planning, development and management of Risk & Support Functions Technologies, ensuring seamless integration and adoption of platforms like IFRS9, Basel III, GRC, RPA, and more to drive operational excellence and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Management of all platforms and systems relating to the Risk Department and Support Functions Technologies and Platforms (IFRS9, Asset and Liability Management (ALM) platform, Basel III platform, Application and Decision Scorecards systems, Fraud Management Systems, the Banks Collections Platform, Governance Risk and Controls (GRC) Platform, SharePoint, Document Management System, Automation Technologies, BPM Platform, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Technologies, etc.).
  • Application Management of all platforms and systems relating to the Support Functions Technologies and Platforms such as SharePoint, Document Management System, Automation Technologies, BPM Platform, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Technologies, etc.).
  • Application Management of all platforms and systems relating to the Support Functions Technologies and Platforms such as SharePoint, Document Management System, Automation Technologies, BPM Platform, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Technologies, etc.).
  • Ensure seamless integration of such technologies and associated platform with other enterprise systems and applications.
  • Drive adoption of such technologies and tools and provide training to teams for effective utilization.
  • Lead the design and implementation of AI-powered compliance solutions to streamline business processes and deliver data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement intelligent automation across customer service, sales, marketing, and other business functions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Present project updates, progress reports, and strategic plans to senior leadership.
  • All the above accountabilities include but not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line Manager.


Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Degree in Engineering/Computer Science.


Experience:

  • 15+ years in banking IT, with expertise in Risk Management Platforms (Credit Risk, Basel III, ALM, etc.).
  • Proven ability to work on sanction, transaction monitoring domain and experience in successful application management & execution around Risk Management Platforms.


Technical Skills:

  • Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, ALM, Basel III, FTP platforms, etc.
  • Banking regulations and compliance.


Soft Skills:

  • Stakeholder influence, strategic thinking, leadership (20+ team management).
