AWS Cloud Architect – SAP Migration
India
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect with deep expertise in designing, planning, and executing SAP workloads migration to AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of AWS architecture best practices, SAP systems landscape, and enterprise migration methodologies. This role will be responsible for defining target architectures, guiding technical teams, and ensuring successful SAP migrations with minimal business disruption.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect SAP workloads on AWS, including S/4HANA, ECC, BW, and related SAP components.
- Develop migration strategies (re-host, re-platform, re-architect) for SAP applications to AWS cloud.
- Define high availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions tailored for SAP environments on AWS.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, SAP Basis teams, and AWS specialists to ensure seamless migration and integration.
- Provide technical leadership and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization for SAP workloads on AWS.
- Ensure security, compliance, and monitoring frameworks are in place.
- Stay current with AWS innovations and best practices related to SAP.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in cloud architecture (AWS focus).
- Hands-on experience in SAP migrations to AWS (greenfield, brownfield, hybrid).
- Strong understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, EBS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Expertise in SAP Basis administration and understanding of SAP HANA, NetWeaver, and OS/DB migrations.
- Experience with AWS migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, DMS, SMS, CloudEndure, etc.).
- Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with SAP-certified AWS instances and performance benchmarks.
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Specialty (SAP on AWS).
- SAP certifications (SAP Basis, SAP HANA Technology, or similar).
- Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.
- Background in large-scale enterprise transformations.
Location Offshore: Chennai / Bangalore / Hyderabad
Work Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM
