Location: Springfield, VA 22150 (NGA Campus)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (REQUIRED)
Compensation: $80–$100/hr ($166K–$208K annually equivalent)
Work Type: Full-Time | Onsite (classified environment)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with Generative AI expertise to support a mission-critical Intelligence Community modernization initiative in Springfield, VA.

This role focuses on optimizing and modernizing enterprise-scale Generative AI workloads within a classified AWS environment (C2S). The selected engineer will embed with customer scrum teams and lead architecture design, performance optimization, and cloud-native system improvements.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role requiring deep AWS architecture knowledge and experience deploying and optimizing LLM-based solutions.

Required Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (must be current)

8+ years of software engineering or cloud architecture experience

3+ years hands-on AWS production experience

Experience supporting classified or IC cloud environments

Strong Python proficiency

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform)

Ability to work onsite in Springfield, VA

Required Technical Expertise – Generative AI

Enterprise-scale GenAI platform architecture and deployment

LLM implementation and optimization

Prompt engineering and token usage optimization

Vector databases and semantic search

API performance tuning (batching, caching, rate limiting)

Cost tracking and workload analytics for AI systems

Experience with LangChain or similar frameworks

AWS Services Experience

Amazon Bedrock

OpenSearch Service

CloudWatch

ECS and/or EKS

RDS and/or DynamoDB

Advanced IAM policy design

Responsibilities

Evaluate and modernize existing GenAI architectures

Design scalable, modular, cloud-native systems

Implement automated health monitoring and detection systems

Optimize text embedding pipelines and retrieval performance

Develop reference architectures and best practices

Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams

Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS C2S

Prior AWS Professional Services engagement experience

Experience supporting Orange or National Security customers

Strong customer-facing communication skills
