Job Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer

Project Overview:

Cloud Foundations Team is responsible for managing Cloud Operations and Engineering on Azure and AWS cloud for the bank. The team works closely with Application team members to onboard them and manage their infrastructure and ensure availability of services.

Contractor’s Role:

We are Cloud DevOps Engineer. This person will work within a team to design and develop multi-platform cloud solutions for business app teams migrating functions to the cloud. This can include, but is not limited to, conducting technical cloud implementations, supporting the cloud operations, accessing and using cloud resources for a global cloud platform to automate via Terraform, working with various technology teams to resolve technical issues for managed software, and working with Solutions & Application Architects on evolving business requirements while building best practices, with a focus on automation.

Experience Level: Level 3 (8+ yrs) (2 Contractors for Azure and 1 for AWS)

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field

Must have skills :

• 8+ years of professional experience in Infrastructure and Cloud.
• 5 years of Cloud experience (primary into MS Azure & AWS )
• 4 year of professional experience in atleast one of these skills - Python, Terraform, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, CLI, Bash Scripting, Ansible, SQL to automate provisioning of cloud resources and configurations CI/CD
• Excellent organization and communication (written and oral both) skills.
• Able to work both autonomously and in teams.
• Self-starter and good decision-making skill
• An Agile mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills leveraging the Atlassian Stack (JIRA, Confluence).
• An understanding of production environments, including the requirement for high availability and team oriented 24x7 support capabilities.
• Strong analytical skill with a methodical approach to fault resolution.
• Well organize with positive attitude, ability to work and deliver in demanding environment
• Willing to work in shifts and on-call support will be required.

Nice to Haves:

• Terraform or GitHub certifications

Tasks & responsibilities:

1. Build, deploy, and support/maintain Networking, Databases, Software, and Servers within the Azure environment (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) using Terraform (No ClickOps).
2. Interact directly with OEM support and/or vendors for troubleshooting and enhancements.
3. Performs installation of approved software on servers, following the standard procedures.
4. Configure and install (or coordinate) upgrades and troubleshoot the issues and patch the servers.
5. Assists with evaluation, analysis and maintenance of equipment to meet technical and security standards.
6. Deliver an optimized infrastructure services design, automated systems leveraging public, and hybrid Cloud architectures and services with Azure.
7. Hands-on experience engineering, deploying, and managing CI/CD pipelines in an enterprise scale environment utilizing GitHub, Azure DevOps, or any other build automation tool.
8. Document and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for day-to-day operational task.
